I had the $22 version and then the following month I opted to return to the free version , on the paid version I had remaining 64000 characters when I downgraded they dedicated 54000 characters from my account which I had paid for, Not impressed they do not respond to emails.

One of the problems with elevenlabs I found the narration was too fast and had to use another program to slow it down.

It's also best to point out that they charge your character quota per-request, not per download. This means that every time you click ‘Generate’, you will incur the character cost of your request. So if you're using the free version and you added 3000 words and generated 3 times, you'll have to go for the paid version the next time you generate or wait for another month. Good software though :)

I did the first month for a dollar. I uploaded my voice sample. It generated my clone in less than 15 seconds. And it sounds eerily similar to my voice. Incredible stuff. Can't wait to use it for my YouTube videos.

ElevenLabs offers a free tier that allows you to synthesize 10,000 characters per month. It is good for us to decide to go with one of the paid plans for longer speech synthesis and additional functionality.

I've been playing around with Elevenlabs, and I've gotten surprisingly good results. But I am frustrated that every attempt to tweak the voice costs part of my allocation. I don't think I should be charged until I download the file. One thing you didn't address is how well each app lets you fine-tune its results. I know that Elevenlabs doesn't yet do breathing, sighs or laughs, thought they say those features are coming. There are some simple tools for adding emphasis and pauses, but it's pretty limited, on the Elevenlabs side, so far. I think it should respond to the sort of cues you'd see in a script, eg: (excitedly) Are we really going to fair, Daddy? Oh, I can't WAIT!
